Answers to the most common questions about AcheNest, and how to get in touch.

Contact us

Email [email protected] and we will get back to you. Because AcheNest keeps everything on your device, we cannot see your data, so please describe what you are seeing and include your device model and OS version. Never send us screenshots of health information you would rather keep private.

Keeping a copy of your record

AcheNest stores your record only on your device. To keep a copy that survives a reinstall or a move to a new phone, use Settings, Backup, Export to save an encrypted, passphrase-protected file. Store that file somewhere safe and remember the passphrase, since it cannot be recovered. Restore it later with Settings, Backup, Restore.

Android reinstall

On Android, uninstalling AcheNest permanently destroys the record. This is deliberate: the encryption key does not survive a reinstall and the database is excluded from cloud backup. Always export an encrypted backup before uninstalling or switching phones.

Voice logging is greyed out

The "Speak a log" button only lights up on devices with an on-device speech recogniser available. On older Android versions, or where the system recogniser is missing, it stays disabled, because AcheNest will not send your voice to a server as a fallback. You can log manually instead.

Moving a pin on the body map

You can move a pin after placing it. Tap another spot on the figure, or drag the pin, and everything you already set for it moves with it. If you would rather not use the figure, the chip sheet lets you record the same details without it.

The app asks for Face ID or a passcode

That is the optional app lock. You can turn it on or off in Settings. If your device biometrics or passcode change and the lock can no longer verify you, AcheNest unlocks rather than locking you out.

A note on what AcheNest is

AcheNest is for personal symptom tracking only. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.
